In celebration of Our Savior’s 90-Year Legacy of Mission and Ministry the Memorial Gift Board approved the Anniversary Committee’s recommendation to provide a Blueprint Sponsorship ($2,500) to the Camden chapter of Habitat for Humanity. This sponsorship allows Our Savior to have a workday at one of the building sites for a group of up to 10 volunteers scheduled for Saturday, October 21. Details of the workday will be in the October Messenger, and those desiring to participate are asked to contact Sandy DeDonatis or Pastor Wayne Zschech.
Additionally, the Memorial Gift Board agreed to sponsor up to $2,500 in matching funds for a fall fundraiser that would benefit the new start-up program at Habitat, “A Brush with Kindness.” This new program Camden HFH is hoping to start once sufficient funds are secured will enable Camden County residents to receive assistance in improving their exterior appearance, landscaping, or weatherization of their home. Details of the fundraiser have not yet been determined but any with suggestions or willing to coordinate the event are encouraged to contact Pastor Wayne, Betsy Kuehn, chair of the Social Ministry Committee, or any member of the Congregation Council.
