Memorial Gifts Provides 90th Anniversary Blueprint Sponsorship for Camden HFH; 10 Volunteers Needed for October 21 Workday
In celebration of Our Savior’s 90-Year Legacy of Mission and Ministry the Memorial Gift Board approved the Anniversary Committee’s recommendation to provide a Blueprint Sponsorship ($2,500) to the Camden chapter of Habitat for Humanity. This sponsorship allows Our Savior to have a workday at one of the building sites for a group of up to 10 volunteers scheduled for Saturday, October 21. Those desiring to participate are asked to contact Sandy DeDonatis or Pastor Wayne Zschech.
The ten workday volunteers are to gather at Our Savior by 8:30 and will travel by the church van to the site located at 637 Clinton Street in Camden and arrive by the 9:00 start time. We will be working on some demolition and framing a powder room along with other tasks not yet determined so the skill set needed is the ability to destroy, read a measuring tape, and how to hammer a nail. We will need to provide our own lunch so if there is a family in the congregation that would like to volunteer and prepare lunch for the team that would be wonderful as well! We will begin clean-up at 3:30 and back to Our Savior by around 4:15. Our hope is by our work with the Camden HFH this anniversary year we will begin an annual support of the local chapter with a workday each year. Join us in continuing Our Savior’s legacy of mission and ministry this anniversary month!
