For the third year in a row Our Savior will be joining in the community efforts to address hunger and malnutrition of children around the world by participating in the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack sessions beginning Saturday at 8:00 am until Sunday at 8:00 pm, March 25-26. Pastor Wayne has seen first-hand the impact FMSC meals make in the lives of starving children when he visited Haiti two years ago with a group from First Presbyterian Church through the mission group Healing Haiti.
In celebration of Our Savior’s 90-Year Legacy of Mission and Ministry the congregation is challenged to have 90 packers at Table 9 over the 7 two-hour packing shifts. There are about 18 volunteers per packing station so we are sure to be a presence during the Mobile Pack for at least 5 out of the 7 shifts. Anyone 5 years old and up is eligible to participate. In 2 hours each person will pack 216 Manna Pack meals that will feed between 1,300-2,500 children!
