Share With Us. God’s Work. Our Hands.
The Congregational Resources Committee is asking all LCOS celebrants to share their stories about giving time to the Church and the community. What volunteer service are you engaged in in your community? Little League coach? EMT? School Board member? Which ministries in church do you participate in? The pantry? Sunday School? Handyman Group? My Father’s House?
We are compiling these stories into a pamphlet to distribute in the autumn with the intent to encourage people to learn how to share their talents in simple and easy ways. Explain the impact your work has. Also, promote your effort by telling how others can get involved. Please email your stories to Janice Bel.
Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event
The It Takes a Village – Feed My Starving Children mobile packing event for 2018 is set for April 20, 21 and 22! We’ll be packing at the Cherry Hill Armory rather than at the Middle School, an exciting move forward. Please mark your calendars now so you have plenty of time to sign up in the spring.
The FMSC Committee is always welcoming to anyone who would like to become more involved. Meetings are approximately once a month and are currently held in the Presbyterian Church parlor. Your time commitment is flexible. We would love your input and suggestions on how to make our community event bigger and better. The next meeting is on September 10th at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Gerry Rice. Hope to see many new faces!
