On March 24 at 4:00 pm at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, the Haddonfield Intergenerational Choir and Hymn Festival will feature adult and children’s choirs from several Haddonfield churches: First Baptist, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist, Grace Episcopal, and the Lutheran Church of Our Savior.
Over 120 voices in the combined adult choirs and over 30 voices in the combined children’s choirs will sing a number of works accompanied by organ, and piano. All 150+ singers will perform I Believe by Mark Miller, an inspirational setting of a poem written during World War 2 on the wall of a cellar by a Jew at the Cologne concentration camp.
The audience will be encouraged to join the choirs in singing hymns such as Great Is Thy Faithfulness, I Want Jesus to Walk With Me, and others. A free-will offering will go towards Ed Hess, the community case worker in Haddonfield spon- sored by the Council of Churches. This will enable him to help even more needy families in the Haddonfield area.
