Due to the significant increase in participation at last year’s Thanksgiving Community Ecumenical Worship held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the Haddonfield Council of Churches will continue the new tradition and host its annual Thanksgiving worship on Sunday, November 20, at the United Methodist Church of Haddonfield beginning at 7:00 PM. Given the hectic schedules many families experience on the eve of Thanksgiving, the Council agreed last year to change the date to the Sunday before Thanksgiving in the hopes more Haddonfield families would be able to attend, as well as, begin rotating the site for the worship.
This year’s worship will be held at The United Methodist Church of Haddonfield located on Warwick Road just prior to the light on King’s Highway. The worship begins at 7:00 and will be lead by worship leaders and representatives from the various member congregations in Haddonfield. A combined choir will also provide an anthem and leadership in the congregation song. The Free Will Offering received that night will go toward the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack Event planned for March 24-25 of 2017. There is a $90,000 fundraising goal needed to pack a shipping container of meals. For more information please contact Pastor Wayne Zschech (429-5122) or the church office.
