Children & Family Ministry Weekly Sunday School Classes

Sunday School

Education classes for children age 4 through Grade 6 are offered each Sunday during the 9:30 worship service from September – May. Sunday School starts on the 3rd floor between 9:25 – 9:30am. Children will be dismissed and will return to the church in time to have a communion blessing with their parents. The curriculum is thematic with a series of four-week sessions focused on the well-known Bible people and events.

Children & Family Ministry Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible Camp

Held in  July and is an opportunity for children age 4 through grade 5 to encounter God’s love in Christ through engaging worship, lessons, crafts, music, and  games. There is a different theme each year.

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation Youth Ministry

Eighth graders who have completed the two year course of catechetical instruction participate in the Affirmation of Baptism (confirmation) service during the 10:30 worship. The goal of the program is to enable teens to discern how they will live as faithful Christian disciples in the context of their regular daily lives. In order to accomplish this goal the program utilizes a three-pronged approach.

Integrated into the rotation of these three events is the Small Group Guide Huddle where parents volunteering to serve as Guides gather with the Pastor to share their highs and lows of their lives, pray for one another, and discuss how that year’s program can be improved.

Faith Milestones Program

This program is designed to bless the child, gift the family and call parents back to the promises and responsibilities they made and agreed to at their child’s baptism. All the gifts are made possible through various Memorial Gift and Endowment Funds.

It is open to all 9th through 12th graders. Join us as we hangout, play games, and learn about God. When different holidays come around we will have special nights such as Costume Karaoke and Christmas Parties. We aim to have a retreat in both the Fall and Spring times where we get away for a weekend and enjoy each other’s company as we grow closer to God.
