Worship With Us

Fellowship Together has tabled the wine tasting event originally planned for April. We hope to offer a wine tasting event next year. Several wineries were contacted, and the information provided was not what Fellowship wanted to offer as an event. In some cases, it involved wineries not accepting reservations or allowing food and wine tasting to be individualized, but with one bill for the group.

Our desire is to see if next year, we might have a few members who open their homes and a sommelier would provide wine for tasting and purchasing, if desired. Having the wine tasting occur within a home would allow a higher quality of “fellowship.” Depending upon the time of year, the tasting could occur outside or on a deck or patio.

If you know of a sommelier, please offer the contact information to Sandy DeDonatis or Ruth Fisher. Also, if you agree to open your home for a wine tasting for approximately 12 guests, please contact Sandy or Ruth.

Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am to 12 noon is a Garden Tour, Tips and Plant Exchange under the expertise of master gardener Kate Zschech. Come to her backyard and enjoy looking and learning. You can get your hands dirty if you want and pot your new plant to take home with you, just bring a flowerpot filled with some soil. If you can, bring extra bulbs, seeds, indoor plant cuttings, garden veggie plants to share. Come enjoy a “look-see” at Kate’s beautiful flower beds filled with an assortment of plants!

Please keep the members from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in your prayers as they prepare for their closing ceremony on April 27th. Fellowship Together will offer a Coffee Time and Luncheon to welcome and greet the members from St. Paul’s on May 9th.

Our Outdoor Worship service is June 30th at John Adler Challenge Park. We had to change our original date so we could reserve the Pavilion area. More information will be coming to you regarding purchasing a lunch following the service. Games and activities will be provided for all! Mr. Softee will also be there as we enjoy fun times outdoors!

This summer, Fellowship Together will select fun places where we can go and catch up with one another. Do you have a favorite breakfast café, or a cute ice cream parlor you enjoy? Share your location with Sandy DeDonatis or Ruth Fisher and we’ll make plans and share directions for anyone interested to meet at your favorite “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!”
