Social Ministry Committee assists Caring Hearts families that are seen by Cooper Hospital’s Pediatric Infectious Disease Practice. We usually support the seasonal holiday parties by providing baked goods and refreshments as well as a collected item (underwear, baby wipes, socks, deodorant, and gifts from Advent Giving Tree) and provide assistance at these parties. We also support Caring Hearts with a monetary donation in March and a special Christmas donation.
LCOS has been asked to collect shampoo and soap (3 or 4 bars per pack), at least 24 of each. The shampoo and soaps will be included in tote bags along with other personal care items to be given to the families at their appointments at Cooper. A collection box for Caring Hearts is available on the shelves outside Parish Hall for your donations. Deadline is April 7, 2024. Contact Betsy Kuehn for more information.
