Graduating Senior Blessing-Final Faith Stepping Stone
As the time of your graduation draws near there are many celebrations on your horizon; senior prom, baccalaureate, graduation itself, and the numerous parties that follow and although this seems so far away, LCOS is planning something a little different and very special this year. We will recognize this life passage with a special blessing service during our 8:00 and/or 9:30 worship on June 23 (Please note that this date has been changed from June 16 to June 23). It is called our “Welcome to Adulthood” Blessing of Graduates. A formal letter with more information has been sent to all graduating seniors.
We hope you will make this blessing service at 8:00 and/or 9:30 worship on June 23 a priority in your calendar planning for graduation activities. I can guarantee you it will be one of your more memorable events.

If we don’t hear from you by April 1, we will assume you will not be in attendance and do not want your gift. These gifts will be personalized and will not be available if we don’t receive your RSVP by April 1.
Vacation Bible Camp
Registration for Vacation Bible Camp will open on April 1 on the church website, through the Youth and Family monthly newsletter, and via paper copies at the church. The theme this year is Camp Firelight: A Summer Camp Adventure with God. The Bible verse theme for this week of fun will be Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in God.”
Vacation Bible Camp will take place June 24 – 28 from 9:00 am – 12:00pm and is open to all children (members and friends) ages 4 – 5th grade. We are also looking for volunteers to help with crafts, snacks, games, and to be group leaders. Confirmation and high school youth are especially encouraged to volunteer! “Courage to Believe” Pre-Confirmation “Retreat” April 26-27
The three eighth grade youth, Ryan Gallagher, Emma Morris, and Libbi Speyerer, who will be confirmed on June 2 will be participating in a pre-confirmation “Courage to Believe” retreat at Our Savior on Friday night and Saturday morning, April 26-27. They will focus on the promises they will be making in the Affirmation of Baptism rite and how they will live out those promises in their lives as Christian disciples. Please pray for our youth as they prepare for the day they affirm what their parents spoke on their behalf at their baptism fourteen years ago.
