High school youth from rising freshman to seniors will be able to participate in this year’s return to Winston-Salem in North Carolina to work with Habitat for Humanity of Forsythe County. It has been two years since the Youth Mission Trip was in North Carolina and despite the younger participants (all under age 16) they will still be working with Habitat either in their ReStore facility or possibly landscaping a newly built house. The evenings will be a time for some fun and games and bonding as a group as well as a time for devotions and connecting the work being done with God’s work in the world.

The cost per participant has been reduced to $150 to cover the Habitat participant fee that is partially subsidized by the Memorial Gift Board, which has approved a $2,000 grant for this ministry that will also go toward gas, meals, and other event expenses. Pastor Wayne and Jess Arnold look forward to this week of serving God in North Carolina as a catalyst for the redevelopment of a thriving youth ministry during the coming school year.
